December Engagement Session
Heather & Kevin rank right up there with some of the most fun people I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with! They flew in all the way from California to visit with family over the holidays and I’m so glad they were able to fit an engagement session into their plans. My only complaint is that we couldn’t have done the shoot out in sunny LA! The weather wasn’t quite cooperating, as it turned out to be one of those dreary Ohio days, but at least the rain stopped for our shoot. Luckily my amazing assistant, Tessa, brought some cute umbrellas as backup that turned out to be a really fun addition!
Heather and Kevin, I can’t thank you enough for how super fun you were at the shoot. I’m so thrilled to be photographing your wedding this summer…I can’t wait! Thanks for being awesome!

Elegant Southern Wedding

TJ and Kelly…2 people who are a perfect match for each other. I love being around people who are so clearly best friends at their core and beaming with joy at the thought of their future together. Their garden ceremony location was breathtaking and the rolling hills of the golf course reception had a charm about it that reminded me of a southern plantation.

I love Kelly’s wedding details…and that she chose to wear comfy flip flop under that gorgeous wedding dress!
It’s one of my favorites to capture the intense feelings that present just moments before the ceremony. Kelly’s close friend (and wedding officiant) gave a beautiful prayer before heading out to the garden to see TJ for the first time that day.
What a handsome little ring-bearer! 
The garden was full of portrait spots around every landscaped hedge, and I was eating up the evening sunlight! 
As we roamed the grounds for more portrait spots, I noticed a horse-drawn carriage sitting at the back of the parking lot. I can’t pass that up! A big thanks goes out to Yellow Rose Carriage Service for allowing us to play around with their beautiful carriage! 
As we wrapped up our portraits, guests were able to watch from a distance as they enjoyed cocktail hour on the outdoor terrace. 
Yes, I was even playing with that sunlight after we moved indoors!

I entered a few photos in the latest Wedding Photojournalist Association contest. With it being an international contest comprised of some of the best wedding photographers in the world, I was thrilled to wake up Christmas morning to find one of my photos placed 9th!
Fall Engagement Session
We had such a fun time with Lindsay & Jason during their engagement shoot. Our plan was to do a partial nighttime shoot downtown, but we ended up going completely off plan at the last minute, exploring parts of Westerville I had never shot at before and trying out different lighting techniques. So fun!

Beautiful September Wedding

I had the pleasure of 2nd shooting for Chris Aram Photography this past September at a beautiful wedding in Dayton, Ohio. The couple was absolutely darling and I thoroughly enjoyed the new scenery! Fall Family Photo Session
It’s that time of year again. That time in Ohio when you can feel that fall is coming to an end and we’re quickly approaching that bitter cold winter weather. I always wish I could just hibernate and wake up when it’s spring! It’s nice however to be able to look back at the portrait sessions I did when it was still warm & sunny.
When Leigh asked me to photograph her family of 11 in a spontaneous lifestyle photography kind of way, we decided it would be best to head up to Highbanks Metro Park where we’d have plenty of room to move around. Thanks, Leigh, for trusting me to capture your family just as they are!

Megan & Jeff | Married!

I had the pleasure of photographing Megan and Jeff’s big day this past wedding season. When I met them at our initial consultation, I remember getting a very relaxed, low-key vibe from this adorable couple. The beach themed engagement session was one of the most laid-back photo shoots I’ve done thus far. They got along like best friends who had known each other all their lives. They had a beautiful day for their wedding, even though it was one of those scorching hot, 90+ degree days. We still managed to get about 20 minutes worth of outdoor portraits before we all began to melt!
I was also honored to have Bryan Fenstermacher as my second photographer for the day. Bryan does exceptional work and created so many wonderful photographs from Megan & Jeff’s wedding.
